At the end of every season, after all the battles have been fought, one team holds aloft the NRL Telstra Premiership Trophy and lays claim to its place in Rugby League folklore. In season 2008, that was the Manly Sea Eagles.
The Sea Eagles wiped the Melbourne Storm of the field in the 2nd half with a scintillating performance of Rugby League, scoring 40 points to 0 in a match which broke the record for points difference between the winning and losing teams in a Grand Final. Michael Robertson became the first player in 11 years to score a hat-trick of tries in a grand final and prop-forward Brent Kite won the 2008 Clive Churchill Medal for the Man of the Match.
The replica premiership ceramic trophy is encased in a beautiful wooden presentation box. This is the perfect memento to remember the Manly Sea Eagles 2008 emphatic premiership victory. Protected & authenticated by A-Tag microchip also a limited edition of only 250 worldwide. |
